im no cubase pro, but when i experience that stuff, i increase the buffer size until it goes away

Yeah although I’m sure in your case it may very well work and won’t bother you, I can’t really increase my buffer size anymore than 752 or something (If I -really- have to) since it’s crucial that I have next to no delay/latency when I arrange my music. So I won’t consider that an option, but an emergent necessity.
