I’m soon giving up. I tried for 3 days to get download assistant to work properly. I tried on (mac) two different computers and macos sequoia, ventura and monterey. Same on all platforms. Download assistant says it installs eg Iconica scetch (cubase and Dorico) but nothing is installed. And the Library manager helper isn’t working either. I’m going out of my mind. Please help!

On a Mac and never had these issues.
Try this:
Go to Settings, enter “full disk” in the search bar, and open the Full Disk Access panel.
I add Cubase, the Activation Manager and the Download Assistant there (use the small plus sign in the bottom bar.
Then restart.
It might be a permissions issue (you would need to have admin level access, I think)
Thank you for the input. I’ve tried it but the download assistent still doesn’t work. It says that it has installed the iconica sketch but the vst folders are empty. When i double click the downloaded audio files in the download folder it tries to install them but the library app does’t work (wrong version it says, but steinberg has only that version) to register the files, and when I put them there myself, they don’t show up in cubase. I’m reallt pissed. I will create a support ticket, but I’m pessimistic.
Dp you have multiple hard drives attached to your mac?
No, but in a way. For some things (like google drive for instance) I have to move to newer os, while some things (like my old steinberg mr818 interfaces for instance) I have to have an older os.
So I create a new volume on the harddrive and install whatever os I need. So on one computer I have 3 different os’es and on another I have 2.
So it’s only the Library Manager that doesn’t work? Can you post a screenshot of the error message, please?
Are you using Google Drive? And are you trying to install the content into Google Drive?
Don’t do that. You can install content into external drives directly connected your Mac, but the cloud is a no-go.
Noise: I’m not using google drive for anything cubase-related, if that’s what you ment, but for at lot of other stuff.
Johnny Moneto: It’s not just the library manager that doesn’t work. The download manager doesn’t install everything like it should (example: Iconica sketch). But when I try to do it manually instead it’s the Library manager that won’t work. I will try to send the screenshot of the error message.
PS I just have to say that I have a M1 mac mini which work really fine, I just need a portable setup also on a laptop, like when I visit my “girlfriend” who lives in another town. (I put “girlfriend” in quotation marks, we’re both over 70 years old 
)
I would do a full uninstall, find all the cubase files in the library folder and then reinstall.
There’s something goofy on your machine. I was an Apple Systems Consultant and I’ve never come across that kind of error.
