I’ve just switched my Cubase install from my ten year old Intel MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air M4 I bought last spring. I’m a bit surprised that Cubase still throws some beach balls as I was expecting the M4 to be hugely faster. This is on mixing live tracks only, no virtual instruments. Now the Intel Mac has died and I’m looking at replacing it with a Mac Mini. Would an M4 plus version be noticeably better at running Cubase than the base M4 which I gather is essentially the same computer as the MacBook Air?
