Yes, the M6 Mini with 32 Gb RAM is probably more than plenty for a lot of uses; or with the M5 Pro CPU.

There arenā€™t any benchmark scores for these new chips yet, but even the base M5 has a higher Geekbench score than a 28-core Intel Xeon Mac Proā€¦!!

Iā€™m glad youā€™ve mentioned this. I looked, and looked, and looked, and couldnā€™t find a nice non-Kontakt handbell set. I finally invested in Kontakt last black friday (no handbells yet, because kontakt alone was quite $$$) only to worry now that theyā€™ve been sold. But this is a nice sounding set, and very affordable, too. Thereā€™s my morning derailed. lol

EDIT: well, lucky me, since it didnā€™t indicate it on the page, (poor website, frankly) but it IS a kontakt set. Oh well. It sounds nice and was affordable.

Still using my 9 year old 2017 intel iMac 27ā€ and itā€™s still working perfectly. I stuck another 16gb ram in it a few years back so total of 24gb as itā€™s so easy to get at on these models. Itā€™s just used for Cubase mostly. I have 2 additional displays hooked up but tend to just use 1 most of the time. Most of my browsing etc I do on my iPad and still have an old win 10 laptop i originally used for Cubase.

Before you get rid of your old iMac, check out Luna from Astropad. It allows you to use an old iMac as a second monitor. Thatā€™s how I have my Studio (M2) and old iMac configured; it works great.

This does work, and Iā€™ve also used it. Caveat emptor: it only works with certain older models, before they were changed to dual internal video cards. Some of the 5k models, while only one screen, are really driven by two 2.5k cards internally. So you do have to double check your specific build.

Agree. The configuration @jesele has looks WAY cool, but is probably overkill for my puny needs. My specific configuration definitely uses an ā€œolder modelā€ iMacā€¦ itā€™s a late 2015 model. But the monitor works, so I transferred important files to either my Studio M2 Max or my NAS and turned off WiFi on the iMac to avoid any WiFi issues. I force Luna to use the ethernet connection also to avoid WiFi issues since the Studio and iMac are connected with Ethernet via the router. I also have the Studio and NAS (10Gb card) connected directly with a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter. All works perfectly.

Iā€™m afraid I donā€™t have space for a second monitor anyway. I donā€™t want to mess with my carefully placed Genelec 8331A speakers. The monitor fits perfectly between them.
