Does anyone have a complete list of the various Halion Sonic(HS) Halion Sonic SE (HSSE) Halion 4 (HAL) VST Sound Sets against which I can check my installation?
All sound sets seem to have a Instrument name prefix and number within the file name which should enable a quick cross check to ensure nothing is missing in the VST Sound directories. Default install appears to place the soundsets in two possible locations on the mac. Global Library / Application Support / Steinberg / Content then either folders VST Sound or Halion / VST Sound.
It appears that the Content / Halion / VST Sound folder will hold all VST sounds which come with the purchase of either Halion Sonic or Halion 4 and the Content / VST Sound folder those which come as default with the Cubase installation.
What I don’t understand on a default installation is why some HSSE sound sets seem to be in the Halion folder and some HAL and HS soundsets in the plain VST Sound folder. This seems to imply that as far as Halion usage is concerned there is no need for the two separate folders ie all soundsets could be in the same folder.
I seem to have soundsets from 1-101 across the two folders then 103-106 then 121. Assuming the latest Halion Soundset number is 121, I appear to be missing numbers 102, 107-120. Does any Mac user who has Cubase 7 and Halion 4 see these in either of the Content / Halion / VST Sound or Content / VST Sound folders?
