I am currently planning to buy a MacBook pro 15" 2015 with 2,8 ghz 512gb ssd and 16gb RAM. I use logic 9 but want to switch to cubase, mainly because of some of the mixing advantages (better grouping, cleaner gui, support for vst etc.) After having looked through forums I saw some issues with running cubase on the discrete graphics card. Is this still an issue? Can anyone relate to this problem? I would like to switch between discrete and intergrated graphics when I see fit, but I can’t seem to find the bridge tool to do that. Will cubase automatically run on discrete?
My next question is if cubase could benefit from discrete graphics, maybe by distributing plugins with gpu power (if that makes sense
