Macro for Stop + Undo record + Return to start position

I’m trying to simplify my recording flow with audio and midi by creating a macro that stops, undoes record and resets to the start position. The problem is that Undo is not allowed to be used in a macro.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

This actually exists ias a feature in Cubase Pro.

It’s called Re-record, and is accessible from the Common Record Modes menu:
