yes, can move it from the top and leave it opened while doing changes.
Hi there.
Thanks for your work and for sharing this.
Here are a few suggestions:
Move the icons to a hidden menu.
Make them accessible via a right-click.
Keep only the shortcut buttons visible.
This saves space on small laptop screens.
I’m not sure if there’s an option to remove the elements I’ve marked
in red?
I know they are part of Cubase, but they’ve always annoyed me.
They take up a lot of space; they should be in a hidden menu.
On the right, you can see an app I use for similar tasks.
Unfortunately, it’s an app that runs outside of Cubase.
It displays only what is necessary—
except for that white section, which I think is unneeded.
Everything else is in a hidden menu.
Here is an example of what it could look like.
that´s not possible.
did you try the Tabs rows and Tabs cols modes?
to create grids with hotkeys use tabs mode, when you are done turn to tabs rows or coils, when everything fails read the manual ![]()
@Kris_Go , best way is to use tabs in cols mode, this way the menu at the top which can’t be removed is the smallest. Tabs in rows or other horizontal configuration is handy for when you have a second monitor to position this plugin.
@Kris_Go I believe you can only add shortcuts in normal mode and then revert back to cols mode, but not sure.
Thanks for the advice. Now it works as expected.
It would be great to have keys that stay engaged—something like an on/off toggle.
For example, pressing Ctrl and hovering the mouse over a parameter could reset it.
Holding Shift while hovering over a fader could allow for more
precise fader adjustments.
Holding Alt could enable the use of an eraser tool to edit the volume curve.
New in v1.8: Menus remember last position. Tooltips.
Board v1.8.zip (1.7 MB)
This may lead to unwanted behaviour if you change presets, have more than 1 plugin instance or shoot a command not from Board the plugin would get desynchronized, or let say you have a hotkey for Mute, you select a track mute it and the cell shows “on”, then you select another track and mute it, the cell would switch to “off”.
Cubase has that behaviour already, I dont get what you want to achieve in Board.
Yes, I know that Cubase has these functions. I mean, I need to be able to do everything with the mouse. Without touching the keyboard.
Or perhaps a timed operation option.
We switch it to “on,” and after 3 seconds, it automatically switches to “off.”
You can then use the Ctrl key and the mouse to reset the parameter.
After the parameter is reset, the Ctrl key returns to the “off” position.
By the way, thanks for the 1.8 update. ![]()
New in v1.8.1: alt, ctrl and shift alone act as temporary modifiers (on/off switch)
Board v1.8.1.zip (1.7 MB)
best to update initial post with latest update so everyone downloads the latest version.
I can´t, it doesn´t let me edit anymore..![]()
Thanks for another update. ![]()
Wow! It works really well.
I’ve been looking for a solution like this for a long time.
Now I can do everything using the mouse.
When I have an instrument in front of me, it’s hard to reach the laptop keys.
It would be great to have an auto-repeat function for the keys.
When I have the zoom shortcut I have to click multiple times.
Maybe there could be a slight delay after pressing the key before it switches to auto-repeat mode?
Just like in Windows.
What do you think?
you mean like pressing several times “g” or “h”? I have macros for that: a macro that contains 3 “g” commands and same for “h”, never use 1x zoom but that´s me…and explore the other zoom actions and workspaces, faster than zooming in and out
Yes.
The same applies to Shift+H and Shift+G.
But it’s not that important.
The features already in place provide the most important functionality.
I’ll see what can be done using a macro.
