I have a guitar part I recorded (audio track, not VST). I decided to delete the audio in beats three and four in measure two, and slide the clip that starts on measure three up against the right side of the clip ending at beat three of measure two. When I play back, the audio start playing correctly at beat three of the second measure, but it also starts the clip at beat one of measure three as if I hadn’t moved the clip. Is this a bug, or some odd Cubase “editing paradigm” I’m not used to?
I just tried splitting the clip in half and sliding the last half a measure apart. Music still plays when there is no clip on the track. I hope this isn’t normal. That is a paradigm I don’t think I can get used to.
I copied the audio to a new track. When I split and slide here, it behaves as expected (no clip, no audio.) Is this a bug or user error?
Are you working inside a folder that has the Phase Coherency option activated? If so, switch it off and then back on after cutting/editing the audio events.
If no, please supply a screenshot of the project window so that we can see what’s going on.
I didn’t have them in a folder. I ended up deleting the offending track. Not sure how to make it happen again. Thanks for trying to help, though!
