Made With Dorico - MyScore Site Has Gone Live!

Just a quick FYI - my first five chamber music compositions plus an arrangement for concert band are up on the MyScore self-publishing distribution site, with more to come soon! All were made with Dorico Pro 5.

You can see the scores and listen to the renditions of the works via my MyScore profile page at the following link:

I’m interested to hear what you think of the various works. Please feel free to post feedback. Thank you very much!

Great! Love your pieces. I’m a trombonist, and if I had a group of this instrumentation right now I’d buy them! Nice, idiomatic, fresh writing, would be fun to play. (…will keep in mind for some future possibilities!)

And, nice playback rendition as well. Hard to tell if it’s ‘Memorex or live’. Curious minds would love to know what the sounds are.

Thank you! The rendition is courtesy of NotePerformer, for which I now have a permanent license thanks to the lease-to-own (or whatever it’s called) monthly payment program (yay!). Some of the works use NotePerformer’s default reverb (mainly the chamber works), but the band works use either Steinberg’s REVerence reverb VST or Waves’ TrueVerb plugin, depending on which one you’re talking about (I switched in midstream).

ahh!.. I was wondering, as I’ve had NotePerformer for quite a long time. This is subjective, but since I’ve switched to Dorico from Sibelius, I even think that NotePerformer sounds and behaves better in Dorico, and it’s certainly much easier to use third party reverbs, etc. for renditioning.

Great job! Really sounds great, and again, I specially enjoyed your Brass Sextet.

Thank you once again!
There have been some updates since my original post. One of the chamber works (“Theme and Tangents”) had to be taken down because I found out it was still under consideration for publication by a non-self-published publishing house. There was a big mix-up in communications, so I took it down until the publisher makes up their mind.

Also, all four movements of my concert band / wind ensemble arrangement of Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6 in A Major are up, each posted for separate sale. There is additionally a transposition of the 1st Movement (and just the 1st Movement) from A Major to G Major to make it a bit more band-friendly. All of them can be found at the same profile link that I posted above.

One more entry has been added, of course made with Dorico. It’s another Bruckner arrangement for concert band / wind ensemble, this time of the 1st Movement of his Symphony No. 2 in C Minor. Here’s the MyScore link:

Please give it a visit and have a listen to the full-length preview. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thank you!
