Major Crashes and Project Corruption After Installing Cubase 15 on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1

Hi,

I’m having a serious issue after upgrading from Cubase 14 to Cubase 15. On my Mac (macOS Tahoe 26.3.1), Cubase 14 was rock solid. No issues at all. But since installing Cubase 15, the program crashes constantly. My projects keep becoming corrupted, which has literally NEVER happened to me in 17 years as a Cubase user… and it’s essentially unusable. I installed the update that came a few weeks ago, but it didn’t help. It feels like the crashes and corruptions are happening more and more frequently now.

There doesn’t seem to be any logic for why the crashes occur either, it’s just randomly doing it. Terrified of using Cubase at all now.

I’ve tried uninstalling plugins, resetting preferences, and even rolling back to a previous Time Machine backup of my mac, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice? I really need help before my projects get completely wrecked.

Thanks so much!

Please post the last couple of crash reports here. Just the .ips files, please.

I can also send some corrupted project files, if that helps anything.

You could start by launching the Steinberg Download Assistatn, which should update MediaBay to the latest version automatically.

I updated MediaBay + all plugins and VSTs I could, but it still crashes. Here
