Make a chord symbol stop playing?

Hi All,

A search for this reveals no useful answers, and I am guessing this cannot be done:
I have a lead sheet I am working on and I am using an organ sound to play the chord symbols I’ve input above the staff. There is a measure that has a line written in the staff which is played by the entire band (break). Upon playback, the chord symbol from the previous measure plows right through the break. Is there a command I can insert to make the the organ stop playing?

Try selecting the chord symbol and toggling the “suppress playback” property in the bottom panel.

I don’t know if it will work, but worth a try.

You can add a “N.C.” chord symbol (which can be hidden if need be, via the Hide property in the Properties panel).

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried this and while it does cause the chord not to play, the preceding chord now plows through the measure where the suppressed chord sits.
