Hello! I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to quickly select the events that you want to split with a range selection across multiple tracks after using the Shift + X command?
I notice I can place the mouse at the top part of a wave file and the hand appears. Then, it will move everything, however, the waveform view disappears when you’re doing that, which is not ideal.
Second, if I try to slip edit all of those events at once after selecting multiple tracks and using the Shift + X command to Split Range, it will only slip the one event that I happen to click. What I then have to do is:
Make a range on a handful of tracks that I want to edit
Hit Shift + X to Split Range
Select the top event and hold down shift to select the rest of the events
THEN I can slip edit them all at the same time.
Are there any commands that would allow me to make a Macro of Split Range (Shift + X) and auto select everything in that range?
I feel like this should just be a given that should happen automatically; I see no reason why this wouldn’t be that way, as it’s logical and expected behavior (at least for me) for that to happen; but if there are commands to create a Macro, that would work as well.
To Reiterate, I’m looking to make a range selection across multiple tracks, Split that range with Shift + X, and then have it automatically select everything in that range so that I can just start editing immediately while also being able to see the waveforms move on all tracks. I hope that made sense. Let me know if it’s unclear or if I may need to make a screen capture in some way. I also hope you don’t have to go through the trouble of creating a folder and a group and all of that, especially if it’s on tracks that don’t need a group.
