Each time I set a rehearsal measure, it shows up as a letter. Then I have to tell Dorico I want a bar number instead. I can’t find a way to make this a default setting.
Hi @James_Goodwin, see Engraving Options>Rehearsal Marks: once you set what you want there, you can click on Save as Default on the bottom left of the dialogue:
One small addendum to @Christian_R suggestion. Setting the preference in Engraving Options and clicking OK will make that the default for all rehearsal marks in the current project. Clicking Save as Default is only required if you want that to be the default for all future new projects.
(And note that Save as Default actually saves all of your current Engraving Options as defaults. If you have changed some of these options from default and don’t want to persist those changes, one approach is to open a new project, change only this one setting, and then click Save as Default.)
