Here are two typical use cases: (1)after completing the entire music creation, we need to generate a score that can be performed realistically. (2)after finishing the basic compositional ideas, we apply mixing and humanization to turn it into a great‑sounding piece suitable for distribution.
Both of these processes require conversion between Cubase and Dorico.
For producers who use both software, we often use the same VST3 instrument plugins and mixing plugins. However, when I finish a song in Cubase and then want to turn it into a playable score in Dorico, I have to reload all the VST3 instrument tracks and mixing effects from scratch. This is extremely tedious.
Moreover, Dorico has too few effect slots per track, limits the number of insert effects, and does not support audio tracks. This makes it difficult to transfer Cubase projects to Dorico.
