Make first measure pickup measure?

Using Dorico 5.1.60.2187 (Oct 8 2024), former Finale user.

Made a mandolin music and tab that has a one beat pickup. Already entered the music, now wanting to make the first measure into a pickup measure. Found this in the help file:

Prerequisite

• The lower zone is shown.
• Properties [image] is selected in the lower zone toolbar.
• If you are in Engrave mode, Graphic Editing [image] is selected in the Engrave toolbox.

Procedure

1. Select the time signatures or the signposts of time signatures starting with an explicit irregular bar whose pick-up definition you want to change. You can do this in Write mode and Engrave mode.
2. In the Properties panel, activate Group first bar as pick-up in the Time Signatures group.

Did all this, but I can’t find the command “Group first bar as pick-up” anywhere. Any advice is very much appreciated. Sorry for the newbie question! I do try to find answers before asking here.

Adding pick up bar in Dorico 5

I have written a song using Dorico 5 (I am new to Dorico 5, having previously used Finale). I would like to add a pick up bar and a corresponding bar at the end of the song. I found one method on Youtube but when I added the pickup bar it affected the last bar of the frame on page 1. Can anyone tell me a way to add the pick up and end bars without impacting the rest of the song?

If I have the following: [Pickup-bar-ex] I would want to have only two quarter beats in the first bar, but when I enter “4/4,2” in the meter popup I get: [Pickup-bar-ex2] So I then have to select everything and move it over. Is there any way to avoid the extra steps of moving all notes after changing the first bar into a pickup bar and get directly to: [Pickup-bar-ex3] ?
