Make it easier to change tempo

I want to be able to change tempo of a project more easily. At the moment there are too many steps having to switch all the tracks between time and musical mode, going in to the audio pool etc- is a pain, easy to make a mistake and a bit confusing. I’d like to be able to just change the tempo or adjust the tempo track and everything speeds up or slows down automatically.

Changing tempo is very simple. Just add a note into the Tempo track.

To me it looks, your post is not about the changing tempo itself. Please, describe your use case.

Hey Martin,

so I record a bunch of audio and midi tracks at say 120bpm and then I decide to change it to 80bpm. I’d like to be able to make the tempo change and the audio and midi to play back at that speed without any additional steps (going into audio pool etc).

Hi,

By default the MIDI Tracks are set to the Musical Timebase. So they will follow automatically. Audio Tracks are also in the Musical Timebase by default, so the position will also change automatically.

That means, the only part, you have to take care about, is the Musical Mode of the Audio Events. You can use Project Logical Editor to select all Audio Events and then enable the Musical Mode of all of them at once by one (maximum two) click.

I’m sorry, there is on preferences to enable the Musical Mode automatically.
