It would seem that SB responds to reasonable requests, to build in more and more awesomeness, into their software; each time the version numbers tick up, it is an opportunity to change how we work and create.
Well, how about having a resizable Hub?
This would allow the program to stay open while other apps are being used, since these days the ASIO link to the hardware is quite robust, so long as the AV scanner isn’t running and doesn’t try to fix things!
The Hub cannot be maximized, i.e., it does not have a Maximize button. This would be the first part of any feature request that I would make in this area.
As for resizing, this cannot be achieved so I was thinking that if it could be resized, then we could make the internet content disappear.
I think the Hub is a great thing because it provides links to support resources and often reminds us there is an update, or a new trial version is available, or program but I what I am asking for is more control over this content and the “app” itself because I would like to be able to keep it open while other (non-ASIO) applications are running but it not get in the way of other windows and have to be moved around.
I don’t see why the Hub cannot be made to be maximizable and as for internet content, I was thinking about being able to make the entire left pane disappear, if in the case that users don’t wish to be marketed to in this way however, there are buttons below that section which would need to be moved in that case.
Also, I would like to be able to make the Hub appear/disappear, irrespective of whether a project is currently loaded.
I am aware of the Preferences for the Hub but these aren’t permanent, e.g., unlike Metronome settings, i.e., “Click during Count-In”, which while not a preference parse, is in effect a persistent setting notwithstanding initiating a repair of the application.
On Windows, there is no maximize option available so I am not sure this is OS dependent as has been suggested.
Yeh, and we have a whole development path ahead, with C14 and then N14 in the new year.
Who knows what kind of features we will have by the time V15 (I said it) comes around, and the two apps are harmonised again, in terms of release schedules.
