Hi I am a very new and basic user in Cubase 9 so apologies for the beginners question. I want to make some parts of a track silent. I thought a simple way to do this would be to duplicate the track, leave the original track muted and then delete selections from this duplicate track.I have got as far as double clicking on to the track to get the event window, can highlight a section, but can’t work out next step to get the highlighted section be silent (or be deleted). I’ve attached an example screenshot of where I have got stuck - if I want to remove the blue highlighted section for example? Thanks
Personally, I just cut the part that I want silenced at both ends and then just click it with the mute tool. I do that right on the arrange page without going into the edit page. Don’t have to make any duplicate tracks. Just unmute the part when you want it back.
