Managing libraries

Hi,

I’m a little bit confused about how Cubase manages library files.

There’s a library that I used to have and even though I deleted it, its name pops up when I create a new instrument track. On the other hand, I installed a library on an external drive and it surprised me than Cubase found it without me doing nothing else :unamused: .

What’s the best way to manage all these things?

i never do any tagging or any of that in Cubase. As soon as anything goes wrong or you update to a new version of Cubase, its all invariably lost and possibly hours of your life with it. Learnt that early on. Now i just put libraries into together the good old way…into named folders and name the files if i feel the urge to make them specific. Only way
