Good morning everyone; I just bought and downloaded Dorico 6 (Italian). I tried the “Cutaway” function, but if I want to start or end a cutaway in a staff, it is impossible for me, since in Engraving mode neither the notes nor the labels above the staff are visible. Also, is it possible to prevent by default that, for example in the piano, only one staff is deleted? Very nice program that obviously has problems of youth… Thanks
When you create a manual cutaway, you can specify whether it should apply to all staves of an instrument, and override this setting via the Properties panel. You have presumably already activated Allow each staff of grand staff instruments to be cut away independently in the Cutaways section of the Staves and Systems page of Layout Options.
Thanks dspreadbury for the immediate reply; unfortunately I have not activated the option “Allow each staff of grand staff instruments to be cut away independently” and nothing appears in the notes, as, even though I have selected the label view, these do not appear in the score. Is it perhaps a problem with the Italian version of Dorico 6?
No, I’m certain whatever’s going on is nothing to do with the fact you’re running the software in Italian. Do you want to attach the project itself rather than a picture? We can help more easily if you attach the project and a description of the steps you’re taking.
Thanks! I attach the project specifying that of course I started it with Dorico 5 pro.
In Layout Options, I have selected, from “Staves and system → Ritagli → Riatglia automaticamente I right e le misure vuote.” and Apply. In Tipografia Ihave selected “formattazione delle accollature” and in “Visualizzazione → Segnali” buy there is nothin in note ad no label for staves which cutaway.
