I am currently in the process of cleaning up in setup mode after the automated process of matching instruments did not correctly match a few of the instruments in my half hour plus project. Even with playback off, the lag when i change even one instrument to the correct player is brutal, and I can not imagine how rough it will be when I have to actually copy and paste the music from the newly created instrument to the correct instrument. I would love it if this program could allow you to manually link instruments in a manner similar to Pro-tools’ import session data feature. That would have saved me so much trouble.
related- The ability to combine two instruments of a type in to one would be incredibly helpful. I know that one is tough, because what if there is music in the same place twice, but then again, dorico handles copying music on to a place where music already exists pretty well already. Could be a selecton for what mode - chord, insert, overwrite( with an option for which instrument to prioritize)
