Hello, I have been trying to map the Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra into Dorico, and everything has gone relatively well except for the trills. The plugin (in this case the strings) has a different key switch for every type of trill (those being Minor 2nd, Major 2nd, Minor 3rd and Major 3rd). I am not sure how I can implement these into Dorico, and I could find anything like this on the form. Any help is appreciated.
In the case of a third (Minor 3rd and Major 3rd), you would normally notate as tremolo, rather than as a trill.
Thank you for letting me know that, in SSO they are marked as trills so that’s what I assumed they would be called in Dorico.
Welcome to the forum, @Darthdizzl. Dorico already has playback techniques named Trill (half-step) and Trill (whole step). You can add base switches to your expression map which provide the appropriate key switch note actions for these playback techniques.
Handling trills with intervals of minor and major thirds is more complicated. In the following example, I created playback techniques named Trill (minor 3rd) and Trill (major 3rd), created playing techniques with the same names which invoke those playback techniques, and added base switches to the expression map for those playback techniques. I added trills with intervals of minor and major thirds to some notes, suppressed playback of those trills, and added hidden playing techniques to invoke the corresponding playback techniques:

I finally found it! In the SSO VST if I turn off polyphonic key switching in the little gear icon it stops there from being more than one key switch pressed!
