I created my own playback template because I couldn’t figure out how to get the correct sounds and notehead/staff mapping. And, I still can’t figure this out. In setup mode, when I look in the “edit percussion kit” window I see marching percussion instruments including a ribbon crasher! When in Play mode and open the instrument it seems to be a different instrument Marching Snares Dorico, which is what I want. When I enter notes on the staff I hear a “concert/drumset” snare in the middle space of the staff. How do I get this to play the correct sounds and notate correctly.
Update: So, I discovered that Noteperformer is overriding the Halion Sonic marching snares even though the VST show HALion Sonic. Marching basses seem fine, I can hear the correct sound and the drums are mapped correctly to the staff. What could be the reason for my marching snares issue?
Update (fix): this fixed my issue. Playback Templates and Percussion Kits… what am I missing?
