Hi, I’ve looked around the forum but I haven’t found a way to delete or override a massive amount of time signature warnings when importing a MusicXML file. I started with a ton of Red X signposts and was able to delete them all with the Select All Command eventually, but attempting to do the same with these signposts only deletes them one at a time, and doing it manually would take far too long.
Example attached:
Those aren’t warnings, per se. They’re actual time signatures that have their hide properties set to true. The signposts give you a way to see what been hidden. You can hide the signposts as well, if you want everything truly hidden.
To delete these time signatures, you can Select All (Ctrl+A) or drag select all objects in an area. Then, from the Edit menu or right click anywhere: Filter (make sure “Select Only” is checked) → Time Signatures. This will select only the time signatures (note the signposts will not be orange, but they are selected, dark red vs. pale red). While holding the Ctrl key, deselect any time signatures you don’t want to delete. Then click Delete or Backspace.

Worked perfectly for all but the top row for some reason, but I can live with that. Much appreciated.
If you’re importing from Finale, it’s worth mentioning that Finale’s function to “Use a different time signature for display” often causes excessive signposts of this sort.
If you can turn this feature off before exporting/importing, then that might save a bit of work.
