Master Section Bypass

Hi

I think it is the case that when activating ‘bypass master section’ the signal is still processed … just bypassed from playback.

This might be slightly different behavior from a previous version (I think I understand why) but it continues to consume resources. So if for example you have a montage loaded with clip or output fx the audio processing load can head to the red zone.

Is there a command or button I am missing to deactivate the master section plugins when the master section is bypassed.

Thanks

The only way is to deactivate the plugins one by one.

WL has done a remarkable job in assigning Master Section to a Shortcut F9.

I have had an assigned bypass shortcut going back to at least 9.5 (F12 until that was used by the system).

You can also save your Master Section as preset + Assign Keyword and Reset Master Section (with Keyword) instead of Bypass.

This will be the only thing you will have to click in between.

Thank you … I am already more than well aware of all of this.

As you can see in old version, the plugin works in Master Section during master section bypass, while it is deactivated when turned off. In 12, the Plugin is active in either case.

Again … I am 100% aware of this and and hence my initial question. All I was wanting to know was if there was a way to ‘hard bypass’ master section plugins as in an earlier version . The answer from PG is there is not. And that’s fine.

The case is marked solved.
