Master Track Goes Silent After Restart

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with Cubase 15 on macOS Sequoia.

When I restart Cubase and open certain projects that have plugins on the master track, the master track sometimes becomes completely silent.

I have to disable and re-enable the plugins on the master — and sometimes I even need to delete and reinsert them before the audio comes back.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks in advance! :folded_hands:

I had this with plugins that for some reason thought that they were not properly authorized. I re-authorized them, and it worked again.

If it happens regularly, you need to identify the exact plugin which is the culprit, and, if it is a third party plugin, check if it is properly authorized, and if that doesn’t help, contact the vendor.

At the moment, it happens with Ultra Shaper, and all other plugins are properly authorized.

Have you tried to increase the buffer size? Maybe Ultra Shaper puts too much strain on your system?

Ultra Shaper is, as far as I know, low-latency and not very demanding. As I mentioned before, it only happens when I open a project, not while I’m actually working on it.

It is of course not impossible that there is a bug in Ultrashaper, but I can’t remember any other topics here with that problem, so it might be very specific.

Just for the sake of it, does this also happens if you use ultrashaper somewhere else, say on a track or a bus? Do you use a preset or start from scratch?
