It may sound like a dumb question but I have this problem. I record something, and it sounds great on my home studio monitors. Then I save this recording as a mp3 file, so my computer uses its own speakers ( I can connect my monitors to computer but thats not the issue) Then I can’t hear all the good stuff I’ve been working on.My question is, how I’m going to understand that my mix or mastering is great on regular speakers? I might need a plug-in directly on cubase, shows that this is how it is gonna sound like in real life. Or any suggestions?
I have this problem too. I usually just burn a CD of my test mix, and try it out on different systems in the house (and the car!) You use up a lot of blank CDs that way, but let’s face it, they’re pretty cheap these days.
