Just thought I’d report that I took the plunge after my last project was finished and installed Mavericks on my MacBook Pro and it seems to function just as it did before. I loaded some of the biggest project files with audio and VST Instruments, etc and it played fine.
So far so good.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have read a couple of users posts where things started out fine
with Mavericks but in a few days took a turn to the south.
So like you posted: ‘fingers crossed’.
(Just finishing up two projects and waiting for some 3rd party stuff to get updated/ok’d).

I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you too… I can’t wait to get Cubase 7 for myself, I already have 10.9 on my Mac Pro 16GB and Motu Ultralite MK3 audio interface.
