Media Bay has no Categories on Mac

I’m not able to use the Media Bay Filters.
If I select a folder in the File Browser, no Categories appear.

The only time a Category appears is when I drill all the way down to the lowest level folder - then it just shows the Category for those files.

When I click the Reset Filter button, all the Categories appear for a moment and then disappear.
I’m running Cubase Pro 11 on Mac Ventura 13.6.3.
I tried renaming the mediabay3.db file in the Library/Preferences/Cubase 11 directory. It recreated that file, but I still have the problem.

Media bay was updated earlier today. Have you tried the update yet by logging into Download Assistant? It is an automatic install when you log in. Mine had trouble installing, but I was redirected to a page from which I could download it. Now on v1.1.40. Just in case it resolves your issue as the last version did present a number of issues for most users.

Well, it was an interesting idea. However, I just installed version 11.0.41 and unfortunately Media Bay still has the same problem.

Ah ok. I was specifically referring to the media bay update, but if you have tried that then I guess it may be another issue. I did read users having problems previously with loading user midi files, but cannot speak for the rest of the file structure.

Thanks for clarifying that - I didn’t realize Media Bay had its own update version. Were you able to install version 1.1.40? I just installed 1.1.30, but that did not fix it.

Also, I also noticed this recent thread on the forum titled “Media bay 1.1.30 issue” where it sounds like Steinberg is still working on a fix.

Yeah, if you login to download assistant on your desktop it will install the update automatically. I searched for an independent link, but it only shows 1.1.30.

Okay, it looks like it is fixed. Looking at my first screenshot, it appears I had “Include Folders and Subfolders” disabled!

Also, if anyone knows how to determine what version of Media Bay I’m running, that would be useful to know.
