Media Bay keeps adding tracks

Media Bay keeps adding tracks when I drag sfx to the timeline. I find this very annoying.
I’m sure this was not the case in earlier versions, but I don’t find a preference to turn this off.
Can someone help?

Same problem here, it’s really a waste of time to have to delete tracks again and again.
