Media bay preview can't beat-align audio content, but works fine when files are dropped into project

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open media bay file browser and enable all three buttons on the right above the waveform preview
  2. Press play in your project and select various audio files in the media bay to audition them at project tempo.
  3. Uh oh, the audio does not align with the project tempo. Plays at original tempo.
  4. Drop same audio into project (with musical mode on), and voila, it aligns perfectly.
  5. Scratch your head wondering why the preview from media bay cannot align the audio if it can be aligned after being dropped into the project.

Note, highly percussive material does seem to work, but non-percussive material struggles. (Make sure audio is trimmed to an exact length of 1, 2, 4, or 8, etc. bars for starters).
