Media Bay results show a hard drive that isn't connected

Hi, I recently moved my samples from an old external hard drive to a new one. For some reason Media Bay is still showing files from the old hard drive even though it’s not even plugged into the computer anymore. Anyone know how I can remove the old hard drive files from the Media Bay search results?

Thanks!
Dylan

I guress that you have used the (right click] > Refresh View command on the This computer section in it.

Nonetheless, could you post a screenshot showing the File Browser (left) panel of MediaBay, that shows the different disks of your system ? Seems strange to me that results of the old drive are still in the results if it has been disconnected.

At the end, if you really can’t get rid of them, maybe it’s time (after having closed Cubase, of course) to rename/remove the mediabay3.db file, which is in this location (for a Windows based system - I’m unable to tell where it is located on a MacOS one, but there should be an equivalent) :

C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Local\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server

This will force Cubase to create a new one that should be without old drive results.

Thanks cubic13! Deleting the mediabay3.db file did the trick

For those on Mac, the file can be found at:

/Users/[UserName]/Library/Preferences/Cubase [Version number]
