Maybe it’s just me…
In Media Bay and the HALion browse function, if you enter a key word in the “search” field, whatever you enter is sticky. So when I come back to to Media Bay or HALion search function, at first I find little or nothing of what I’m looking for because I don’t notice that the search key word I put in last time is still there.
Should be an easy fix as far as software problems go. I would think.
The way I see it, the reason behind that the search field memorizes the keywords (per instance), is to help us continue browsing for a preset in context, when we change our mind.
For example, say I have set “Bass” and “Analog” as keywords, choose a preset, close the plugin window but then change my mind and want to search again. This happens all the time, at least to me. It is counter intuitive to have my filter reset, I just wouldn’t want to type again the keywords, because I chose them in context of my track’s nature.
That being said, all Halions support the key command Reset All Filters, which is assignable to whichever shortcut we want, and I do have a shortcut for this.
Fair Point. My complaint would then be that the key word search field is kind of buried in the clutter, particularly in Halion. It doesn’t jump out at me that something is already in there and constraining my search results.
