Once you drop/insert a sample from the MediaBay, stop auto-playing (the very same sample mind you) until you click again on the MediaBay window (re-focus)

Add an option to trigger playback via MIDI instead (for example short samples like kick and snare, I would like to play them myself using the MIDI controller; and even play loops as long as a key is pressed - matched to projects tempo and key though)
