Mediabay not scanning folders remain yellow

running OSX , cubase 12
mediabay just refuses to scan folders they remain yellow on the external drive, deleted mediabay3.db
I’ve selected include subfolders and it just shows the search icon but nothing happens. started in safe mode with no 3rd party plugins still nothing.
if I right click select rescan or quick rescan nothing happens.

I basically can’t search for anything, t

any ideas please?

I’m a Windows Cubase user, but my day job includes general macOS support. I have little to offer other than the fact that it may be required to grant Cubase/MediaBay file system access in System Settings → Privacy & Security

For some tools, we’ve had to enable to that for them to properly function.

I think I’ve fixed it, I had to remove the drive/folder from the mediabay database then add it back by putting in the tick next to it, then select rescan and it started to scan
