when i listen to the audio files in mediabay, the samples are out of sync. Only when I load a sample into the project, the audio files in mediabay starts to sync correctly again. Why did it start doing this?

On top of the Player, there are 3 buttons in the MediaBay. One of it is to sync the tempo of MediaBay to the Project.

Same problem here!
In Mediabay sync is enabled → still out of sync.
In project everything is fine.
Iam not sure, but this issue occured since Cubase 9… maybe 8.5 
I’m using 8.5 and had no problems until last week
I have solved it, Cubase had selected the generic asio driver instead of my audio interface
