Mediabay pitch down to be applied when dragging sound into project (Nuendo 14)

Love working with Mediabay in general, but here’s something I’d prefer to work differently:

  1. Prelistening with tape style pitch down works nicely, but I can’t drag the audio file like that into my project window. Instead it applies a really strange timestretch on import. Can that be customized in some preference menu? Some more context: Usually my project settings are 24 bit, 48 kHz. Previewing a 96 kHz audio file in Mediabay and pitching it down there sounds so much better than first importing/converting the file to 48 kHz and then pitching it down - logically. So, I’d like to pitch the file down before importing the audio using the preview pitch slider in Mediabay to set the desired pitch, then drag the file into project window, the file should then show up on the timeline with the desired pitch already baked into the file. I’d like to keep my project settings at 48 kHz. One reason is e.g. Video export only works if the project is set to 48 kHz (to my knowledge). Also, I’d like to keep all my audio exports at 48 kHz, and re-import them without automatically creating a duplicate file in 96 kHz, or similar.

Any hints as to how to set that up within Nuendo are much appreciated!

Btw. here are some other minor suggestions:

  1. When setting the volume slider in Mediabay e.g. to -6 dB, then dragging the file into the project, automatically creating a new track - that’s fine! But could the track volume simply be 0 dB, without it taking over the -6 dB? If anything, could the -6 dB be applied to event volume instead?
  2. When using the text search field (in Mediabay), at times I’d prefer to only consider filenames, no other attributes. Or customize, which attributes to consider for the search.

In case all or some of that is possible to set up in preferences, many thanks for your advice.
