HELP!
Hi,
The first two are MIDI the last one is Audio.
Where is the MIDI routed to?
Read the title please martin.
I know the last SS is audio, i put it there to show audio is getting sound!
I think the preview for MIDI, especially MIDI files is not really good.
You can see in the bottom right corner that your preview MIDI output is not connected. To be able to hear anything you need to select a port which is connected to a MIDI device, that is capable of playing back the data. You can also use Halion Sonic for this but you have to load an instance of Halion Sonic into the project first, and then load patches onto it. The patches will not automatically be loaded.
It is so cumbersome to hear something that it is almost not worth the while.
Hi,
The MIDI Track, Cubase creates. Or is it an Instrument Track?
Normally i click on a midi file in mediabay to preview, and it sounds.
Now it is not.
Nothing has changed on my setup, so what has changed for it to be not connected.
I am confused with your question please explain in more depth
Now that you mention it… I remember there is a GM mode in Halion Sonic.
Please check if this is turned on.
Have switched on but still not working.
I have said in previous post that im confused when it comes to midi and the routing of it. So when Martin said where is the midi routed to am not sure where he means
Is it this bit at the bottom in MB, or is it Studio>Studio setup?
Well, I got it working (never used this feature before). But I had to load Halion Sonic into the project (I loaded it as an Instrument Track). Then the menu on your screenshot should allow you to set the preview output port to Halion Sonic.
I’ll be honest with you and say i dont use HS at all.
I have used 1 of the other Instrument Tracks and thats done the trick.
Can you tell me why i have never had to do that before?
I have had CB since 2020 using CB10.5>CB12> and now 13 which i have had since it’s release nov 23.
Very Odd
But anyway Jonny_Moneto
Thankyou Very much
John
