One of Nuendo’s irritants is that it loses the memory of the audio interface chosen (it chose a 4k monitor instead of my UAD), and then, like a big boy, doesn’t find the audio connections by itself when the right interface is chosen. And then to lose the inserts in the corresponding Control room. This happens many times, say 1 in 3. Pro Tools or Logic, on the same Mac Studio M2 Ultra computer, are never wrong on this point. Is there a solution?
Yes, save your setup as a preset and recall it, you have to do this with each tab in the audio connections page (F4). Your inserts in the Control Room are saved with those presets.
Hello Wheels. I do that. It’s just that I have to redo it often when opening Nuendo, while it should stay at the last configuration (which it does 2 times out of 3). It’s not a manipulation we should redo, at least if nothing changes. Nuendo should return to the chosen Interface (in this case my Apollo x16), and not choose one of my computer screens.
On my Win 11 pc it always chooses my UAD hardware but Cubase 10.5 on my Mac doesn’t remember at all even when I plugin it into an identical audio interface. If you’re on Windows you can at least disable the monitor in the audio settings if you never use it for audio.
Name the presets “Default”.
I’m on MAC. And you can’t disable the screens in the sound functions.
Okay, I’ll try, thanks.
