Menu location of "Repeat selection" normally invoked by "R"

I’m trying to bind a different key to the “Repeat Selection” command (listed on the reference card. It’s normally invoked by “R”

I can’t find the command in the Key Commands dialog, and “Repeat item” is apparently not it. Thanks!

If you type repeat item in the search field, it should show up.
It is listed under Key Commands > Note Input > Repeat Item.

In a Dorico project, if you select some notes and then press R it will repeat the selection immediately following the selection. In this case, the selection is the “item” which is repeated.

From the Dorico manual:

In Write mode, select the notes/items you want to copy.

To repeat the material directly after itself, press R.

I found that, but it does not appear to do that function. (And the reference card calls it “Repeat Selection”) It works fine with the “R” binding - and incidentally, “Repeat Item” does not list “R” as a binding.

It does. What function are you looking for? Maybe Bar-repeats?

Yes: Repeat Selection=Repeat Item

It does (if for binding you mean association with a shortcut?):

Thanks, guys. I was doing all of the above, but for some reason Dorico wasn’t recognizing my new key binding for that function. However, it is working now! I was probably a bug and I just needed to restart Dorico.

Hi @D.Galbraith, probably the Solution checkmarks goes to the post by @StevenJones01 , as I only reiterated what he said
