Dear Experts:
VST instrument recording. I’d like to merge and mix some extra notes into the track on lane 5, though the notes I play get recorded in the track on lane 1. Midi record mode correctly set on Merge-Mix. What am I doing wrong?

I may be wrong. But the way I would approach would be dragging lane 5 to switch with one as I believe 1 becomes the lead in Mix/merge mode.

You mean dragging the track from lane 5 to lane 1?
Lane 1 seems to be the only lane where the mix/merge note applies, though I’d assume that must be a better/quicker way to merge notes into a track lying on a different lane.
So it seems. From what I’ve ascertained it seems that lane one acts sort of like a host with all others being slaves
Anyone else would like to shed a light?
