When I import an .xml file, I need to answer a question, whether I want to merge instruments to existing ones, or want to create all new. Is there a setting where I can set it for the future avoiding 2 click what makes quite a lot if I do it 10 times a day? It is not very important question, I know, but don’t want to miss something and discovering it say ten years later:)
10 years, 3.650 days or 36.500 clicks later. It does add up…
or 2.5 clicks an hour (assuming 8 hour work day).
Thanks for being so sympathetic:)))))))
Still, I insist on my question!:)))) why should I click 3.500 per 1.000.000 years if I can NOT click? is there any setting to save my precious
time (3 mins per 1.000 year)???
There is none, no setting yet. One has to use these click moments as an opportunity of contemplation
Very disappointing:) the moment when I start a new project lifting from Finale on beloved Dorico is typically the time of non-contemplative attitude, more a stir of excitement and curiousity, but will practice to radiate all my keeness toward these two sacred clicks:))))
Don’t import. Just open the xml in Dorico as a new file.
I need my bespoken settings, so I have a Dorico read only file carefully prepared and I import everything into that. Is there any better way to do this?
