I often get freely played audio tracks and often tempo detection can be out in certain places but generally ok
- The freely played audio track should not slave or requantise to the tempo track in any way (which is fine when you first tempo detect). It is the absolute timing master
- Any further changes to the tempo track should be ignored by certain other tracks and absolutely by the timing track
So considering the above brief;
Paraphrase reading from the manual
I set up a midi track
Play in a section where the tempo is out a bit
Then I do merge tempo from tapping and I dont know if Im just ignorant but the played back metronome should now sync exactly with the 1/4 note played midi, right?
BUT
- The click is not on the same positions as the original tapped midi track
- Despite locking, removing hitpoints etc, the audio is still moving around to suit the new tempo changes.
What am I doing wrong?
