Is there a way to have the Meta Normalizer bypass the clip effects? I have 3 clips in a 7 clip montage, 3 I want to be quieter than the other 4 so I added a clip effect gain (-3db). But when I run the Meta Normalizer those clips are louder, as if the Meta Normalizer was compensating the the gain change in the clip effect. I know I can disable the clip effect before running the Meta Normalizer but it’s adding more work to the normalizing process.
I have that option checked but it’s not working. But my assumption is that master effects would be saved per project as I will often use different master effects for different projects. Apologies if I’m missing something.
I have hated the Master Section since the day I started using WaveLab due to how it integrates with Audio Montages and while it’s supposedly gotten a little better in recent updates, I am happy to have developed a workflow that doesn’t require me to use the Master Section at all.
Everything can be done with Clip Effects, occasionally (but not often) Track Effects, and Montage Output Effects.
These are all safely stored with the Audio Montage file.
The Master Section…hard to be certain other than it certainly leads to a lot of user confusion.
I could never get my head around saving and loading the Master Section separately with the Audio Montage. If it’s part of the Audio Montage, it should be automatically saved but it’s more of a “Global” Master Section for the entire program which is useful for the Playback Processing slots in which you want to say the same 100% of the time but it’s not good for much else with the way I like to use WaveLab.
