Can Meters be calibrated? The actual level of the led, not just the appearance at which it shows “0” ?

No. Though you can change colours and set those colours to either a hard or gradual transition at several points along the scale. So you can have everything above -16dBFS as red, for example.
Your Amplifier and speakers can be calibrated in conjunction with the acoustics of your room (and listening position) so they agree with what your meters show
