I’m working on a book to help with rhythm reading skills. I know that normally we would move between 2/4 and 6/8 with a constant 8th note (and that’s how Dorico plays it). However I want one example that uses a constant pulse. To achieve this in playback, I need to mark it in every time. In notation, I would likely write the tempo equation one or two times and maybe write "simile" for the remainder. However, Dorico won’t play it that way without all the markings. Is there a way to hide these markings or must they remain?
The tempo equations don’t seem to be hideable.
What you can do instead is enter the metronome marks and hide them (by unticking metronome Mark Shown in the properties):
and you can add "simile" as system text.
Note that the metronome marks are Alt(Opt)-clickable, you don’t need to retype them in the popover at each spot.
Hi @Brad_Edwards, beside the suggestion by @charles_piano, here a couple of other possibilities to don’t see the subsequent tempo equations:

you can set the Colour Opacity(Alpha) to 0% (in the properties panel), and they will disappear

you can set (in the properties panel) the Start offset Y value to something like 999, and they will be printed outside the page (so practically invisible)

you could use a pick-up for the 6/8 bars where you don’t want to see a tempo equation: 6/8,4 Then write hidden eight note tuples, then hide the subsequent 6/8 TS where necessary. Here the example in Flow 2.
You can also copy the whole bar to another location, and use Lock Duration to rewrite the pitches. (But this last method is probably a little overkill
