Metronome in Editor's zone

Hi there,
I’m new to Pro 14 - Is there any way to hear metronome in both main panel as well and in the editor’s zone?
With the below set up, I cannot hear metronome in Editor panel. Have I don’t something wrong?
By the way, I have ID24 interface. I appreciate your help.
Kind regrds,
Syd

Hi Syd,

generally speaking you don’t need to assign any outputs to your Stereo Out like you did here:

Just delete the Stereo Out and leave it unassigned in this “Output” tab above.

Make sure that Analogue 1 & 2 are connected to your actual studio monitors.
Evertyhing will be routed to and through your Control Room, that’s the basic idea.

Hope that helps

Hi Reco29, With this suggestion, I don’t hear anything at all. Regards, Syd

Hi,
like in anything at all?

Please try this:

  1. Import an audio sample from your Media Bay Library and make sure that the track is routed to Stereo Out

  2. Have a look at your Control Room in the Right Zone and make sure that you clicked on the sign the arrow is pointed at (it will activate your Main Out). While you are at it click the other button. This one lets you hear the metronome in the Control Room. Please make sure that your click is activated in the project by pressing “C” as a key command.

Does it work?

Hi Reco29,
It works. Thank you. I’m also wondering if the mentronome should be heard when clicking on Audition (see arraow). Not that it is important but just wondering.

Kind regards,
Syd

If you have time, you might consider marking his answer as “Solved” so that other folks searching the forum for the same issue may better find it.

I am glad that it works now!

If you press the Play button in this editor you won’t hear a click - just the part that is currently displayed in your editor because you usually want to focus on that bit. If you want to hear it in context with the metronome you could just hit the space button - now you’ll hear all tracks in the project that are not muted alongside your metronome click (given your metronome is activated, of course).
