If you change the font family back to Bravura Text, the note should sit on the baseline again. It should be sufficient to turn off the switch next to “Font family”.
In Maestro Text the note glyphs are designed to cross the baseline.
Changing to Bravura doesn’t work. It should be notes that both my before and after screenshot from the first post are Finale Maestro Text.
Are you sure both quarter notes are from Maestro Text? To my eyes they look different (different stem lengths and head shapes).
You are right – I was looking at the wrong one. I’ve set it to Bravura, but it still hangs
and worse, it’s oversized in the parts:
Ok, great. I guess, you need to select “Bravura Text”, not “Bravura”.
