Metronome Music Text Font

Hi,

I’m trying to change the size of quarter notes (e.g) in tempo markings. I suppose this should be done in Library>Font Styles>Metronome Music Text Font. However, nothing changes, am I missing something…?

Cheers,
R.

It works fine here, what font are you using?

Jesper

Ah, I’ve found out… I was using a non-smufl font… :flushed:

Is it possible to make a tempo mark like the one above, but without the equal sign? ::: Bill

These property settings appear to work…

Thanks, Janus. I don’t know why that works, but it does.

Bill

Thanks again to Janus for this solution from a while back. I used the setting again this morning and I’m curious as to why it works. What does “is approximate as sign” mean? ::: Bill

That the tempo could be a little slower or faster.

Jesper

“as sign” is the part I don’t understand.

This?

But the point is, there is no sign. It’s just quarter note and 100. That’s what I want so it’s not a big deal. I’m just curious. Thanks for playing.

That’s because we told Dorico to use the squiggle sign, but then also told it not to show a sign (the other property switch).
